MAD//Fest is the UK’s largest festival of marketing + advertising. I worked with the Director of Content, as well as with Marketing & Sales functions, to build a program of 527 speakers across 9 stages, for 12,000 attendees.
I contributed to the content programs across all stages, but led on program delivery for 4 stages, with sole responsibility for launching a new AI + Emerging Tech stage program.
I also took on the scale-up of the growth of MAD//Fest’s Female Leaders Club program, in its second year. This included, program design, speaker engagement, launch and delivery of a dedicated digital content stream with fortnightly industry newsletter, sponsor and media partner relationship management.

“Sara spent just over a year working with HSBC’s Global Learning team, during which time she contributed to multiple aspects of a company-wide Sustainability Academy program. She delivered an extensive series of in-depth written explainers on more than 40 program topics, managed content on the Academy site and LMS, coordinated and wrote a programme newsletter, and worked with regional teams to manage the translation of an Academy site into LATAM Spanish and Chinese. Sara quickly integrated into and built relationships with the team, was adaptable and added value to the program.”

When I first started working with this brand, it was a startup. Today, Dallington provides bespoke support and personal development services for many international families with children attending university in London. Working closely with the Founder, I developed a personal voice for the brand (based on trust, security and peace of mind), writing copy for the website, marketing collateral, magazine articles, and other published texts.
“Working with Sara has been wonderful. She has an ability to really listen to and understand her client (and sometimes even hear what you are not saying). She is able to cut through all the fog and help you clearly and authentically express what you are trying to say, and in half the word count. Sara made the work enjoyable and that makes for better writing and, ultimately, better business. I cannot recommend her highly enough!”

” Sara joined the project in it’s embryonic stages and made an immediate difference. From the outset she was curious and questioning and quickly got to grips with the concept which meant she was integral in shaping the content strategy. Her understanding of positioning and messaging combined with her excellent storytelling capabilities enabled us to produce compelling copy across multiple platforms. Sara oversaw content management and took full control of integrating processes by taking control of the CMS. This allowed us to be very agile which was vital as the story and editorial content was constantly evolving. Sara is flexible, committed and highly adaptable, and I look forward to working with her again. ”
