Recent Examples of my Work

Giftify is a growing Belgian FinTech firm offering physical and digital gift card experiences and associated payment solutions to shopping centres.

Working with MaaS firm, maastery, I created a new Brand Tone of Voice (translated into 15 languages) and Messaging Strategy for Giftify.

I also wrote all brand related English language content, from sales and marketing assets, to product communications.

Over a period of 13 months, I worked with HSBC’s Global Learning & Development team on the development of its Sustainability Academy. The Academy educates an audience of 2,000+ employees on the global transition to net zero.

I designed and wrote learning assets across 40+ topic pathways, based on video based learning content delivered by subject matter experts, and stress tested the learning assets and the learner experience across the Learning Management System. I also conducted a review of the Academy homepage/site to address points of friction – simplifying layout, updating written queues, and removing barriers to engagement – and worked with regional teams to coordinate the translation of the Academy site into LATAM Spanish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

I launched a monthly newsletter delivering program updates and developments on HSBC’s Sustainability Academy; worked on video timecoding/content editing and annotation of assets; and supported communications and delivery of an online C-Suite global graduate induction onboarding event for a cohort of 700 to HSBC’s graduate program.

Architecture_Today

Architecture Today, one of the UK’s leading subscription magazines for architects,  is evolving its approach to content delivery, focusing on getting more out of non-traditional channels. In 2018, Architecture Today joined forces with Vision 2018, to deliver a content programme for the summit.

Working with the editorial team, I established and delivered a content programme across three stages, over two days. As well as designing the content programme, I coordinated with Architecture Today’s partner organsation, co-writing and contributing content to its marketing campaign.

When I first started working with this brand, it was a startup. Today, Dallington provides bespoke support and personal development services for many international families with children attending university in London. Working closely with the Founder, I developed a personal voice for the brand (based on trust, security and peace of mind), writing copy for the website, marketing collateral, magazine articles, and other published texts.

“Working with Sara has been wonderful. She has an ability to really listen to and understand her client (and sometimes even hear what you are not saying). She is able to cut through all the fog and help you clearly and authentically express what you are trying to say, and in half the word count. Sara made the work enjoyable and that makes for better writing and, ultimately, better business. I cannot recommend her highly enough!”

Jessica McGawley, Principal, Dallington Associates

Working as part of a wider SEO project to organically grow Plum’s SEO rating.  I contributed a number of articles to a blog series about Paris and London.

A new company established by veteran professionals, Patterson Dental creates life-like dental restorations using cutting-edge digital technology.

I worked closely with the Founder to create a written identity and voice, differentiating it from its competitors, for the launch of a website.  All of our work was conducted  remotely – from interviews and brainstorms to feedback and edits.

RIBA

Working with an in-house team at the Royal Institute of British Architects, I helped transform the annual international conference into a summit connecting international experts and shaping future thinking on city resilience. We worked to brand, position and establish the messaging for a new summit, within a new paradigm. As well as co-developing the programme, I wrote copy, sourced and organised content across RIBA’s website, marketing materials and social media channels.

” Sara joined the project in it’s embryonic stages and made an immediate difference. From the outset she was curious and questioning and quickly  got to grips with the concept which meant she was integral in shaping the content strategy. Her understanding of positioning and messaging combined with her excellent storytelling capabilities enabled us to produce compelling copy across multiple platforms. Sara oversaw content management and took full control of integrating processes by taking control of the CMS. This allowed us to be very agile which was vital as the story and editorial content was constantly evolving. Sara is flexible, committed and highly adaptable, and I look forward to working with her again. ”
